Maternity Session

Maternity Photo Session

When to do your maternity session:

There are no rules of when to do your maternity session! Each pregnancy is different and each woman’s bump is unique in size, shape and the speed in which it grows.

Week 25-35 are generally great for maternity shoot. In this period, your bump has a nice size and you feel great about your pregnancy. You have (hopefully!) stopped feeling sick, and your body is not constrained by the pregnancy, which sometimes happens towards the end.

Where…

Your pregnancy session is either held in my professional photo studio in Kew, or outdoor in the beautiful nature surrounding Richmond.

Partners, husbands and older children are very welcome to join the session. I recommend getting a few pictures together with your partner, as this is such a special and intimate moment in your life as parents.

What happens during your session:

A maternity session takes about 1-1.5 hours.

If you chose a studio session I have a variety of backdrops and maternity gowns and dresses that are made particularly for maternity photo sessions.

It is entirely up to you what type of pictures we do. They are your pictures – your memories of a special time! Some women prefer to wear maternity gowns / dresses, some pose in underwear and some want discreet nude pictures. All this will be discussed and planned during our pre-session consultation.

During the session there is time for a few changes and outfits.

For an outdoor maternity session you can either wear your own dress or borrow one of my maternity dresses.

Your pictures:

About 2-4 days after your session you will get a ‘sneak peek’ on either Facebook and Theresa’s blog (completely fine if you don’t want this, just make Theresa aware of your preference during the session).

2-3 weeks after the session you will receive a link to your private online proofing gallery. The online gallery will remain active for three weeks.

Once you are ready, or when your gallery expires (after three weeks), you will place your order for your chosen packages (click here to see prices).

When you have placed your order, an invoice will be sent, and your order will be delivered to you upon full payment received (digital images are readily downloadable. Prints take about a week. Albums and frames take 2-3 weeks).
