❀ Newborn Session

Newborn Photo Session

My newborn pictures are posed sleeping babies. I use either a beanbag or other props to pose baby in and on.  During the pre-session consultation we will chat about your preference for colours and props used.

When to book your newborn session…

I recommend you start planning and booking your newborn session anytime after the 20th week of pregnancy. I will make a tentative booking based on your due- date.

Once you have given birth you will then contact me again to arrange a suitable day for your session.  The best time to photograph a newborn baby is when the baby is 6-14 days old. Once babies are more than two weeks old, they become a little harder to pose as the can be a bit more unsettled and alert.

Where the session is held:

Your newborn sessions is done at my photo studio in Kew (Richmond). I have a professional studio, fully equipped with a large variety of props and accessories for newborn photo sessions.

Siblings and grandparents are very welcome in my newborn sessions.

What happens during the session:

A newborn session takes 2-4 hours, this allows plenty of time for feeding and comforting your baby.

During the session I will take pictures of your baby in different poses, some of baby alone and, if you wish, some of baby posed with either or both parents (and siblings).

When and how you get your pictures:

About 2-4 days after your session you will get a ‘sneak peek’ on either Facebook or Theresa’s blog (completely fine if you don’t want this, just make Theresa aware of your preference during the session).

2-3 weeks after the session you will receive a link to your private online proofing gallery. The online gallery will remain active for three weeks.

Once you are ready, or when your gallery expires (after three weeks), you will place your order for your chosen packages (click here to see prices).

When you have placed your order, an invoice will be sent and your order will be delivered to you upon full payment received (digital images are readily downloadable. Prints take about a week. Albums and frames take 2-3 weeks).
