Fine Art Child Photo Session
I photograph children ranging from the age of one all the way to early teens. Each session is tailored to your child’s age and personality.
Two different types of child photo sessions…..
Child sessions are done either in my studio in Kew or outdoor.
When you book your photo session for your child, you need to decide what type of pictures you want. Above you can see my studio style child sessions, these sessions are styled in terms of clothes and colours. You will get a variety of posed and pictures as well as some spontaneous facial expressions and laughs.
If you want more spontaneous pictures with the children playing and running around, then please have a look at my outdoor sessions.
Studio photo session for children
I love fine art photography, and my studio child photo sessions are styled and carefully planned. In our pre session consultation we will go through your taste, your preference of colours and I will give you advice on how you can dress your child(ren).
I suggest you bring 2-3 outfits for your child for a session.
I have an extensive selection of fine art dresses for girls ranging from 6 months – 13 year old. You are very welcome to borrow any of these dresses for your photo session.
Although your child will be posed on some of the pictures, it is very important for me that your child looks natural and relaxed. All my sessions are done in a very homely relaxed atmosphere and there is plenty of time to chat and have fun.
What age is the best…
There is no right or wrong age to do your child’s photo session. Besides children are as different as us adults. Some take to the camera right away and others need a bit of ‘warming up’ before they feel comfortable. Being comfortable is the most important thing for my child sessions.
Children age 1-4
take less direction and they are posed through play and some games. You may get some more action shots for this age, simply because the child likes to move and explore.
Children age 4+
can take direction from me and we can do some more styled shots. However, fun and being comfortable is still the most important thing of the shoot. I want the child to feel relaxed and excited about the photos we capture.
I always welcome siblings and do many sibling sessions. During these sessions we get some pictures of the children together and some of each child individually.

How you get your pictures
About 2-4 days after your session you will get a ‘sneak peek’ on either Facebook and Theresa’s blog (completely fine if you don’t want this, just make Theresa aware of your preference during the session).
2-3 weeks after the session you will receive a link to your private online proofing gallery. The online gallery will remain active for three weeks.
Once you are ready, or when your gallery expires (after three weeks), you will place your order for your chosen packages (click here to see prices).
When you have placed your order, an invoice will be sent, and your order will be delivered to you upon full payment received (digitals are readily downloadable. Prints take about a week. Albums and frames take 2-3 weeks).
